We most commonly think of applying the Information Mapping®
method to business and technical documents. But the principles behind
the Method™ apply to, and can improve, many different kinds of writing . . . even cover letters.
A cover letter recently came into the Doc Advisor
mailbag from someone at a company that provides tutoring services to schools. Customers didn't seem to be reading the letter. After a quick review, it was clear that the letter's readability, tone, and style needed some improvement.
See
how the Doc Advisor fixed the problem.
