Content Development Workshop
The Content Development Workshop is a fast-paced, two-day, follow-up workshop to the Information That Works! (ITW) Fundamentals of Information Mapping e-learning program. This workshop consists of
- a review of the basic Mapping terms and concepts taught in ITW, and
- new and more detailed information about complex documentation not covered in the e-learning program.
Learning Objectives
You will learn to use the Information Mapping method to
- structure and sequence information for easy retrieval by users
- organize information into small, modular units for reuse
- develop documentation to meet the needs of multiple audiences
- apply information types to simplify complex documentation, and
- implement a complex documentation project.
Participants in this workshop will be able to
- reduce questions by creating documentation users can understand and use
- organize complex documentation for quick retrieval by users
- reduce writing time, and
- improve user response.
