E-mail Communications
Organizations are overwhelmed by e-mail, which causes loss of morale and productivity, misunderstandings, poor decisions, loss of information, delays, and errors.
Because e-mail is not as formal as traditional business communications, employees often take less time to plan and develop it. We conducted a survey of 560 people. For those surveyed
- 53% say they do not understand what action is expected of them
- 49% say the e-mails they receive are hard to understand, and
- 15% say that they do not know how the e-mail is relevant to them.
