Public Workshop Schedule Set for 2008

by Cynthia Whitty, Marketing Communications Manager

Information Mapping’s public workshops make world-renowned
communications training accessible in 16 U.S. cities in 2008
.

Information Mapping, Inc. recently announced its U.S. calendar of public workshops for 2008. Information Mapping’s workshops teach business professionals, training developers, and technical communicators to use the world-renowned Information Mapping Method to write clear, effective policies, procedures, documentation, and business communications.

The Information Mapping Method
The scientifically based, field-proven, Information Mapping Method ensures that communication is precise, well organized, and readily understood by those who receive it. The Method can be applied to a variety of types of business writing such as business communications, policies and procedures, training manuals, and documentation—helping organizations comply with regulations and standards, avoid risk and shutdowns, and improve employee performance and the bottom line.

High-Quality Workshop Options
Information Mapping's workshops are recognized internationally for their high-quality, interactive training experience. Class size never exceeds 15 so that students can get the feedback and individual attention they need to learn new skills.

Among the workshops scheduled is Information Mapping’s flagship workshop, Developing Procedures, Policies and Documentation, which will be held over 30 times in 16 U.S. cities, including Boston, New York, and San Francisco. Hundreds of thousands of people worldwide have already completed this workshop and are using the skills learned to get better results from their written communications.

Other instructor-led workshops to be offered in 2008 include Mapping Business Communications, which focuses on applying the Information Mapping Method to proposals, reports, memos, and e-mails, and Developing Business and Technical Communication, an online workshop for business and technical communicators.

"For those who don't have the time or resources to travel,” says Debbie Kenny, Vice President and General Manager, Learning Programs, “the Developing Business and Technical Communication instructor-guided online workshop is a great option. Participants get weekly assignments that they complete on their own schedule – with individual feedback from the instructor.”

Participants may also choose self-paced e-learning programs such as Making E-Mail Work and the Information Mapping Starter Kit that can be started and completed online on the learner’s own schedule.
