Employee Profile - Kyle Burkhart

As the Logistics Coordinator on Information Mapping's Client Services team, Kyle Burkhart is responsible for many aspects of planning the delivery of Information Mapping's learning programs. This customer-facing position requires excellent people skills as well as detailed understanding of complex processes and procedures. Kyle has proven to be such a quick study that it is easy for co-workers to forget that he is among the most recent additions to this busy team.

Kyle joined Information Mapping, Inc. in June of 2006. He came from a professional background that includes several positions in sales and marketing within the photography industry, one of which brought him to New England in 2000.

"I applied for this job because Information Mapping seemed different and interesting," says the Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania native. "Working for an established company that sells a service appealed to me. I like my multi-faceted role here, and the variety that comes with it. I've always enjoyed the challenges of wearing many hats."

Kyle is a graduate of Penn State, where he studied photography. His early career was in photojournalism. As the founder of Merge, an independent magazine covering the northeastern region's music and concert scene, Kyle interviewed and photographed such internationally known artists as David Bowie, Bauhaus and Pearl Jam. Among his credits is a photo of Pearl Jam vocalist Eddie Vedder that was used as the centerfold in an issue of Guitar World Magazine. Kyle's work has been shown in three solo exhibitions and published around the world.

Kyle lives in Natick, MA with his fiancee Allison and two cats, Mandinka and Pluto. He is a cancer survivor. Diagnosed in 2003 with a Grade 3 brain tumor, he has twice undergone surgery and still receives chemotherapy. He and Allison are active participants in the annual Brain Tumor Society Ride for Research, raising several thousand dollars for that organization each year.

Music and movies are among Kyle's interests. He regularly attends concerts and has become an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He is also interested in the work of modern painters Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso.
