Information Mapping, Inc. Announces Its 2007 Public Workshop Schedule

By Cynthia Whitty, Public Relations Specialist

Information Mapping, Inc. (IMI), leading provider of information life cycle solutions, recently announced its 2007 calendar of public workshops. IMI offers workshops nationwide for business, sales, and marketing professionals; program managers; technical writers; and anyone who wants to write results-getting business and technical communications, such as policies, procedures, training materials, proposals, reports and e-mails.

Workshops

Developing Procedures, Policies and Documentation™
A three-day workshop, DPPD guides participants in designing and developing complex content that is user-focused, task-oriented, accessible, and easy to revise. Day 1 begins with a vigorous case study. The workshop continues with interactive hands-on exercises. There is an optional Day 4 Application Workshop™ for one-on-one feedback on personal projects.

Mapping Business Communications™
This workshop teaches participants how to develop concise, easy-to-read, persuasive business communications that convey key information clearly and get the intended results. MBC provides two days of case studies, hands-on exercises, instruction, and small class sizes that ensure individual attention.

Developing Successful Policies and Procedures™
This two-day workshop enables participants to quickly and easily write clear, effective, audience-focused policies, procedures, and other complex business communications. It is designed to meet the real-life development process participants use on the job. There is an optional Day 3 Application Workshop™ for one-on-one feedback on personal projects.

Developing Business and Technical Communications™
An eight-week, instructor-led, e-learning program designed to introduce participants to the concepts of Information Mapping, DBTC provides downloadable lesson summaries that can be printed and kept for reference, 23 business document templates, and 30 days of free Ask-An-Instructor™ support.

Making Web Content Work™
An eight-week, instructor-led, Web-based training workshop that can be accessed 24/7, MWCW helps writers and designers organize and present content on the Web. Participants will attend live Web-based presentations on topics such as “Paper to Web” and “Basics of Web Technologies” and create a small Web site to practice new skills.

Writing Winning Proposals™
WWPs helps participants stand-out among competitors, improve the perceived value of the solutions, and clearly articulate complex solutions so readers will readily understand them and their benefits. This one-day workshop helps participants clearly articulate complex solutions and get to “Yes” faster and more often.

Information Mapping Editing Workshop™
IMEW is designed to help proficient Information Mapping practitioners develop more sophisticated editing skills and basic mentoring abilities to help others in their organization become better ‘Mappers.’ This workshop is highly interactive and designed to provide individual attention, spirited discussion, resource sharing, and problem solving.

Communicate Write: Effective Communication Skills for Leaders™
CW provides the advanced communication skills you need to move ahead. Participants will learn to overcome communication challenges and lead through better writing. This workshop is appropriate for current and aspiring leaders who write reports, analyses, business cases, briefings, meeting agendas, and e-mails.
